Privacy
How does auto discovery work?
Mezzanine Screencast uses inaudible high frequency audio signals to communicate the Mezzanine hostname through your laptop’s microphone. Your device then connects to the Mezzanine via Wifi.
How do I know my screen won't be shared when I don't want it to be?
Screencast runs in the background, but will only connect when you enter a Mezzanine room. Once connected, you still have full control over when your screen gets shared.
How do I know my privacy will be maintained while using the app?
Mezzanine Screencast only listens to ultrasonic signals, which are above the range of human hearing. The app will not listen to any sounds in the audible range, and will not make any recordings of what it hears.
Troubleshooting
How do I know if my Mezzanine room supports auto discovery?
Only Mezzanine 200, 300, and 600 Series systems enabled for audio output are supported at this time. Contact your local admin to see if your room is compatible with automatic connection.
What is required for auto discovery to connect my laptop to Mezzanine?
Your laptop must be connected to the same Wifi network as the Mezzanine room and auto discovery must be enabled on that Mezzanine.
What do I do if auto discovery does not work or isn’t enabled on my system?
You can always connect manually if auto discovery is unavailable. Just enter the name of the Mezzanine room you're in when prompted. The room name is found at the top of the Mezzanine screens.
